Kevin Banker
Professional Artist Biography

Photographer Kevin W. Banker was born in 1961. As a child, Banker was fascinated by films and the cinematography of the time. Banker also began to doodle a lot and was encouraged to pursue the arts. Then in his early 20’s Banker discovered photography. As his photography skills improved, Banker was often asked to take photos of weddings.

Banker attended the New York Institute of Photography, where he studied everything from lighting to composition as well as how to use the most modern DSLR cameras.

Today Banker no longer does weddings. He is a celebrated and respected nature photographer who has won many peer awards. He has honed his own unique style and is being collected world wide.

The wonder and beauty of Bankers work connects with people and it seems to have something to do with his process. "The process is very serene and peaceful", said Banker. "Capturing the incredible specimens on our planet is very satisfying to me."
Banker also went on to say, "If my work makes people feel as if they are in nature, then imagine how I feel, actually being in it that incredible moment, and the extraordinary memories I cherish of capturing each image. This is why I do what I do."

Banker's work is now being shown in an increasing number of fine art galleries, and is available on the secondary art market.
