Painting Painting Impressionism
Lin Field Reilly
Professional Artist

As an award winning artist, Lin Field Reilly's work is included in private, corporate and museum collections throughout the world. Impressionism with a decided abstract quality are unmistakable in her style. Reilly's is said to draw her inspiration from the lyrical quality of the music that she plays in her mind.

"I use the rhythmic pulse of music to inspire my brush and to influence my canvas" said Reilly. "Whenever movements begin to flow in a repeatable pattern, they become more than the sum of their parts. The rhythm of my paintings is the result of the choreography of my brush".

Painting has been Reilly's passion since she was a little girl drawing pictures in her music books. Like music, Reilly's talent is revealed her uplifting styles. Some styles are slow and mellow (like a waltz) others are quick and lively (like a tango). Preserved in oil, acrylic and pastel Reilly keeps her vision fresh and alive.

Classically trained, Reilly attended John Herron Art Institute and studied with many of the finest teachers in the world, incliding Ted Goerschner OPA and the late artists Robert Brackman, Emile Gruppe, Bill Schultz, Elliot McMurrough, Henery Hensche and R. Clay Kent. For many years, Reilly was director of the Melbourne Art Center wherein she operated her art school and gallery.

Reilly was artist-in-residence of the Brevard County School System, a former charter memeber of the Society of Marine Painters, charter memeber of the Brevard Arts Council and an advisor to the National Council of the Arts.
