Narrative:
The tundra is frozen just below the surface which does not allow roots to grow deeply. Because of this shallow root growth, vegetation of the tundra is small. Not many trees grow there and those that are there are very short. Even with the lack of vegetation diversity there is an abundance of wildlife. Moose, reindeer, birds, mammals, bears, and more flourish in this extreme environment.
