Kris Peterson
Professional Artist
Kris Peterson did the improbable in 1994 and began a new life in Venice, Italy. Her philosophy of "just hold your nose and jump" is not only the way she lives her life but is evident in her fine art. Amid the ancient buildings and watery streets of Venice she studied glassblowing, fine art photography and watercolor painting.

Eventually working as the director for a European chain of fine art galleries, Peterson regularly associated with hundreds of international artists. The exposure of these many artistic voices was instrumental in the evolution of her style. While exchanging various ideas and techniques, it became apparent that a singular medium was not enough for her.

"I love the free flow style of watercolor, but I needed more precision." said Peterson. "I then discovered a method to combine acrylic, oil and watercolor in the same work. This gave me the ability to be unrestrained yet precise."

Peterson has accumulated and sold a large body of original and limited edition work from her years in Venice, along with commissions for international galleries and clients. Her work has been featured in dozens of international VIP cruises, museums and galleries and is widely sought after by art collectors from around the world.
